Friends Having Sweet Fun in Franklin, TN!!!



Just this past weekend I had the privilege of revisiting the historical downtown Franklin, with my friend Rachel! Known for its rich history and small-town feel, Franklin, is definitely a hot-spot to put on your travel list. Rachel introduced me to Sweet Ceces, one of the many attractions in Franklin, Tennessee, that offers a pleasurable experience for any age. Not your usual Dairy Queen experience,this ice-cream and yogurt shop introduces the fun in swirling your own sundae with several different soft-serves and toppings to choose from. The relaxed and charming environment will bring out the kid in you and please your sweet tooth!

Salad Dressing Recipe,(courtesy of my friend Mrs. Shari) :)



Here is a recipe for a light/low calorie salad dressing that will have your tastebuds zinging and your tummy smiling, without sacrificing flavor:)

*Blend all the following ingredients until smooth:

~2 cups of fresh lemon juice

~minced garlic (1 teaspoon for individual serving, add more for taste preference)

~1/2 cup of olive oil.

~a little salt and pepper

My Latest Obsession:Fuze Drinks

I'm usually not much of a fruit-juice drinker, but these are pretty much amazing. Fuze sells a tasty variety of flavored fruit juices packed with only 2 carbs and 10 calories per serving, and 4 different vitamins/minerals that are good for your metabolism!! I always feel great after I drink one, and I get my daily serving of fruit! Yay!! My favorite flavors are Strawberry Melon, Goji Wild Berry, and Strawberry Guava. Giada is a Genius.



Wanna know the best cupcake mix ever? One that takes under 20 min. to make? Well I just discovered this batch of decadence this past summer during one of my sweet tooth moments. Giada de Laurentiis' Mascarapone Cheese Cupcakes with Strawberry Glaze is the fluffiest, simplest, and smartest cupcake recipe that tastes amazing with any cupcake topping. The recipe only calls for 5 ingredients including 8 ounces mascarpone cheese and a box of white cake mix. For those of you who haven't tasted mascarapone cheese, it is nothing more than a smooth creamy mixture that taste like cardboard. So there is no taste of real cheese of any kind and this cheese can be used in both savory and sweet dishes:) The cheese is what allows your cupcakes to taste light and easy on the palate. To make the glaze, blend 1/3 cup of thawed and pureed strawberries, and 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar.( If anything else, you want more powdered sugar than strawberries to keep the glaze from making the cupcake soggy. ) What is so great about this recipe is that you don't have to use strawberry glaze. Other options are cream cheese frosting, whip cream, and maybe even a chocolate ganauche:) Below, I've posted the link to Giada's recipe.
